Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- At 13 three-minute calls a day Rosie costs $299 and Goodcall $129 (prices checked October 26, 2026).
- Rosie costs less below about 84 calls a month; above it, Goodcall does, and at 13 calls a day Rosie costs 2.3 times as much.
- Goodcall's own plan card puts its 100-caller Starter plan at about 150 calls a month: repeat callers count once.
- Rosie rounds every call up to a minute and upgrades you a plan when you go over, for at least three billing periods.
- Goodcall has no trial and no self-serve number porting; Rosie has a 7-day trial and hosts or forwards your number.
At 13 three-minute calls a day, Rosie costs $299 a month and Goodcall $129 (prices checked October 26, 2026). The difference that matters is the unit. Rosie sells minutes and moves you up a plan when you run out; Goodcall counts each different caller once a month, however long or often they call.

Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls over 30 days. Goodcall bills per unique caller; we count every call as a new caller, the most it can cost. Taxes and add-ons are not included. How we price.
Rosie's plans are $49/month for 250 minutes, $149/month for 1,000 minutes and $299/month for 2,000 minutes. Goodcall's are $79/month for 100 unique callers, $129/month for 500 unique callers and $299/month for 2,000 unique callers.
Where Rosie costs less
Below about 84 calls a month, Rosie costs less. At 2 three-minute calls a day it costs $49 against Goodcall's $79, $30 a month less.
That band is narrow. Rosie's Professional plan holds 250 minutes, which is 83 three-minute calls, and every call rounds up to a full minute. Past 250 minutes Rosie moves you to Scale, and at 3 calls a day you already pay $149.
Short calls stretch that band. At 1 minute each, Professional's 250 minutes cover 250 calls, while Goodcall bills each new caller past Starter's 100 at $0.79 a caller.
Where Goodcall costs less
From 3 calls a day up, Goodcall costs less at every volume where both publish a price, even on our worst-case arithmetic for it:
- 3 a day: Goodcall $79, Rosie $149.
- 5 a day: Goodcall $118.50, Rosie $149.
- 13 a day: Goodcall $129, Rosie $299, a gap of $170 a month. 390 calls are 1,170 minutes, past Scale's 1,000, so Rosie bills Growth.
- 20 a day: Goodcall $155, Rosie $299, 1.9 times as much.
- 26 a day: Goodcall $201.80. Rosie publishes no price: 780 calls are 2,340 minutes, past Growth's 2,000.
Repeat callers widen the gap
Our arithmetic is Goodcall's worst case. Goodcall's own plan card says Starter's 100 unique customers are "About 150 calls/month" (goodcall.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026). That is one and a half calls per caller.
On a line like that, 5 calls a day come from 100 callers. They bill as Starter alone, $79/month for 100 unique callers, instead of the $118.50 in the table. Rosie bills the same 150 calls at $149 either way. Check your own call log: count distinct numbers, not calls.
Long calls widen it too
Call length moves Rosie's bill and not Goodcall's. "A thirty-second call and a nine-minute booking cost the same," says Goodcall's FAQ. Rosie's Scale plan covers 333 three-minute calls a month, but only 200 five-minute calls. Past that, Rosie moves you to Growth at $299/month for 2,000 minutes.
How each counts a call
Rosie counts minutes from connect to disconnect, rounded up. Its terms: "Services Minutes are calculated and billed in 60-second increments and calls are rounded up to the next 60-second mark." (heyrosie.com/legal/terms, read October 27, 2026). A 20-second wrong number uses a full minute of the bundle.
Goodcall counts phone numbers, once a month. "One phone number, once a month. The same person calling five times in a month is one customer." (goodcall.com/faq, read October 27, 2026)
Spam. Goodcall: "Spam and wrong numbers don't count." Rosie bills no minutes for numbers you block yourself. Its help center does not say whether calls its smart spam detection hangs up on use minutes (Rosie help, read October 27, 2026).
Test calls. Goodcall's test calls "use AI usage, not customers", with a test allowance on each plan. Rosie's terms bill every connected minute, and we found no exception for test calls.
The catch with each
Rosie
- Going over upgrades you, and the upgrade sticks. Rosie "will automatically upgrade the Subscriber to a higher Subscription Plan" (terms, read October 27, 2026). Paid changes apply to the current period and "at least the subsequent two consecutive billing periods". One busy month on Professional means three months at $149/month for 1,000 minutes instead of $49/month for 250 minutes. Goodcall, by contrast, bills the extra callers at the plan's own rate and says "There's no penalty rate".
- Every call is at least a minute. Short calls eat the bundle faster than the 3-minute arithmetic suggests.
- No rate past the top plan. Growth is the largest published plan, and no price past its 2,000 minutes is published.
- Your number, after you leave. Rosie "reserves the right to release or reassign any telephone numbers not ported back within three months after termination" (terms).
Goodcall
- No trial. "You get a free demo agent instead." Billing starts when you add a phone number (goodcall.com/faq, read October 27, 2026).
- No self-serve porting. Asked whether you can port your number to Goodcall: "Not yourself yet." You forward your existing number instead.
- The off season costs the full Starter price, or your number. Downgrading to the free demo agent keeps your setup but "gives up its phone number", per the same FAQ.
- Disputes have a clock. "If you dispute any charges you must let Goodcall know within sixty (60) days after the date that Goodcall charges you." (Goodcall terms, read October 27, 2026)
Which one to pick
Under 2 calls a day, short calls: Rosie. $49 at 2 calls a day, against Goodcall's $79. It stops fitting once you pass 250 billed minutes.
3 calls a day and up: Goodcall. It costs less at every volume where both publish a price from 3 a day, and its bill depends on callers, not minutes. It does not fit if you need to try it on real calls before paying.
Many repeat callers, such as customers calling back about a job: Goodcall. Each number counts once a month.
Spanish-speaking callers: check both. Rosie lists "English & Spanish on every call" on its pricing page (read October 26, 2026). Goodcall's pricing page and home page name no languages (read October 26 and 27, 2026).

Can I keep my phone number with Rosie or Goodcall?
Yes, by forwarding. Goodcall says to keep your number with your carrier and forward it, and it does not yet take ports. Rosie can host your existing number or give you a forwarding number, and may release a number not ported back within three months of leaving.
How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices
- Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
- Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
- Phonely: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
