Jobber AI Receptionist Cost 2026: Which AI Receptionists Write to Jobber
Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- 3 of 18 vendors we track document a built-in Jobber connection: Abby Connect, NextPhone and Smith.ai (prices checked October 26, 2026).
- None of the three is listed in the Jobber App Marketplace. Every built-in cell rests on the vendor's own pages, and we have not tested any on a Jobber account.
- NextPhone's Jobber connection comes on its Growth plan, $299/month for unlimited calls, and needs Jobber Grow or higher.
- Smith.ai's Jobber page books on your calendar natively but creates the Jobber client through Zapier, and lists its live receptionists, not its AI Receptionist.
- Via Zapier means a Zap you build and pay Zapier for: a call trigger on the receptionist side, a Jobber action such as Create Client or Create Request.
3 of 18 vendors we track document a built-in Jobber connection (prices checked October 26, 2026). At 5 three-minute calls a day Abby Connect costs $1,346.50 a month, and Smith.ai's live receptionists, the product its Jobber page lists, $1,440; NextPhone's Jobber connection comes on its Growth plan, $299/month for unlimited calls. The rest reach Jobber through a Zap you build, or have no documented Jobber connection.

Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. The plan that includes a Jobber connection can cost more, and each one is named on this page. Taxes, setup fees, add-ons and Zapier are not included. How we price.
The cost column prices each vendor's cheapest plan for 150 calls: for NextPhone, Pro at $199. Its Jobber page puts the connection on Growth, so the Jobber price is $299/month for unlimited calls. For Smith.ai the row prices the AI Receptionist, while its Jobber page lists the live receptionists (more on both below).
The Jobber App Marketplace, read October 27, 2026, lists AI receptionist apps such as ConvoForms, but none of the 18 vendors in our integration matrix. Every "built in" cell here comes from the vendor's own pages, and we have not tested any on a Jobber account yet. The full grid: which AI receptionists integrate with which tools.
What each built-in Jobber connection writes
NextPhone: a client and a request on every call
NextPhone says it "integrates directly with Jobber. Every call lands in Jobber as a client and a request" (getnextphone.com/integrations/jobber, read October 27, 2026).
Repeat callers are matched by phone number, "so a repeat customer lands on their existing record instead of a duplicate", per the same page. The page does not say the AI books a visit on the Jobber schedule: you quote and schedule from the request.
Two requirements sit in one line of that page: the connection is on NextPhone's Growth plan, set up by its team, and it "needs Jobber Grow or higher".
Abby Connect: a client and a job booked from your live schedule
Abby Connect's AI Receptionist creates the client "and books the job per the scheduling rules you set, with the caller's notes added to the job" (abby.com/integration/jobber, read October 27, 2026). It checks the live Jobber schedule for an open time first.
Abby says the connection is "Set up during onboarding at no charge."
The catch is the bill. Abby prices live and AI answering on one plan. At 5 calls a day it costs $1,346.50 on our 3-minute arithmetic, the most of the three. Its pricing page says AI answering "counts as half an Abby Minute" (abby.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026), so an all-AI line uses fewer minutes than our arithmetic counts.
Smith.ai: booking built in, the client through Zapier
Smith.ai marks its Jobber page "Native", but splits the work. It lists "Smith.ai receptionists book services directly on your calendar (native)" and, separately, "Create a client in Jobber after each new Smith.ai call (Zapier)" (smith.ai/integrates-with/jobber, read October 27, 2026).
The page's "Works with" list names Virtual Receptionists, Web Chat and Outreach Campaigns, not AI Receptionist. The table prices the AI Receptionist at $270 for 5 calls a day; Smith.ai's live receptionists cost $1,440 at that volume.
At 5 calls a day Smith.ai's live receptionists cost more than Abby Connect. Its AI Receptionist costs less than both, but its Jobber page does not list it. Both Smith.ai products bill per call; NextPhone's Growth plan stays the same at any volume.
What "via Zapier" means for Jobber
11 of 18 vendors we track reach Jobber only through Zapier: Bland, Dialzara, Goodcall, My AI Front Desk, Phonely, Posh, Retell AI, Rosie, Ruby, Synthflow and Upfirst. That means each has a Zapier app with a call trigger, Jobber's Zapier app has a write action, and the vendor documents Zapier. You set it up in your own Zapier account and pay Zapier for it; the vendor did not build it.
On the Jobber side, Zapier's app lists six write actions, read October 27, 2026: Add Note to Request, Add Tags to Client, Create Client, Create Job, Create Quote and Create Request, plus Find Client and Find or Create Client. A useful Zap finds or creates the client, then opens a request with the call summary as a note. Nothing in that chain checks your schedule during the call: the caller gets a callback, not a booked visit.
Two vendors claim more on marketing pages than their docs show. My AI Front Desk says "Frontdesk integrates natively with Jobber" (myaifrontdesk.com/answering-service-for-landscaping/jobber, read October 27, 2026), but Jobber is not on its integrations page. Goodcall's Jobber page has no setup guide. Both stay via Zapier until a setup document exists.
At 13 calls a day, Goodcall costs $129, less than Rosie, Upfirst, Phonely, My AI Front Desk and Dialzara, the other AI receptionists that reach Jobber through Zapier. Goodcall bills per unique caller, and our arithmetic counts every call as a new caller.
What to ask before you buy
- What lands in Jobber: a client, a request, or a job on the schedule? NextPhone documents a client and a request; Abby a client and a booked job; Smith.ai calendar booking, with the client created through Zapier.
- Which of your plans includes it? NextPhone puts it on Growth. Smith.ai's live pricing page charges $0.50 "per additional CRM" per call (smith.ai/pricing/receptionists, read October 26, 2026).
- Which Jobber plan does it need? NextPhone names Jobber Grow or higher. The others do not say: ask.
- Does the AI answer and write, or only the live staff? Smith.ai's Jobber page lists live receptionists only.
- Are repeat callers matched? NextPhone matches by phone number; Abby says it matches callers to their Jobber record. A Zap you build needs a Find Client step to avoid duplicates.
- Can I see one test call land in my Jobber account first? No vendor here publishes a Jobber test result, and neither do we yet.
Which one fits which shop
For 10 or more calls a day with Jobber built in: NextPhone
Growth is $299/month for unlimited calls at any volume, and each call becomes a Jobber client and request. It may not fit a shop on a Jobber plan below Grow, or one that wants visits booked on the call.
For booking onto the live schedule, with people on the line too: Abby Connect
Abby documents booking from your live Jobber schedule and live receptionists on the same plan. At 5 calls a day it costs $1,346.50 on our arithmetic, so it fits a shop where a booked job is worth that.
For a few calls a day if you will build a Zap: Upfirst
At 3 calls a day Upfirst costs $59.95, less than the other AI receptionists that reach Jobber through Zapier. Its Zapier app has a "Call Completed" trigger you can point at Jobber's Create Client. Its plans count calls, so 13 a day costs $227.45.
An office hire who types requests into Jobber costs $4,399 a month on the May 2025 BLS median wage: receptionist hire vs AI. On other field software: Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an AI receptionist that integrates with Jobber cost?
At 5 three-minute calls a day, Abby Connect costs $1,346.50 a month and Smith.ai's live receptionists $1,440. NextPhone's Growth plan with its Jobber connection is $299/month for unlimited calls. Those three vendors document a built-in Jobber connection, read October 27, 2026.
Can an AI receptionist book jobs directly in Jobber?
Abby Connect says its AI Receptionist checks the live Jobber schedule and books the job with the caller's notes. NextPhone opens a request on the client for you to schedule. Smith.ai documents calendar booking for its live receptionists.
Do I need a specific Jobber plan for an AI receptionist?
NextPhone's Jobber page says its connection needs Jobber Grow or higher. Abby Connect and Smith.ai do not name a Jobber plan on their Jobber pages. A Zapier connection uses Jobber's Zapier app, so ask Jobber which plans allow it.
Does Smith.ai's AI receptionist work with Jobber?
Smith.ai's Jobber page, read October 27, 2026, lists Virtual Receptionists, Web Chat and Outreach Campaigns under "Works with", not AI Receptionist. It books on your calendar natively and creates the Jobber client through Zapier. Ask Smith.ai to confirm the AI product before you rely on it.
How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. The in-house figure uses the BLS median wage for receptionists over 2,080 paid hours (paid leave included), other employer benefit costs and turnover, each from the BLS release named below. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices
- Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
- Retell AI: corrected the transfer term. Its pricing page says "Once the call is transferred, the AI voice agent fee stops. Only the telephony fee continues for the remainder of the transferred call." The index had said the whole call was billed after a transfer. No price changed.
- My AI Front Desk: the 1,000 monthly overage credits its pricing page lists as included ("Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage") now count as 40 included minutes, so Business-in-a-Box covers 240 minutes before the $0.25 rate applies (was 200).
- Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
- My AI Front Desk: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Simple Phones: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.

- Rosie added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Rosie moves an account up a plan instead of charging overage.
- Goodcall added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Goodcall bills per unique caller a month; our arithmetic counts every call as a different caller.
- Dialzara added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026).
- Upfirst added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Upfirst does not bill calls under 15 seconds or spam.

- Ruby: overage rates added from its help center ($5.40/min on the 50-minute plan down to $3.65 on 1,000 minutes), plus the 350, 750 and 1,000 minute plans published there. Ruby's pricing page still shows no overage rate.
- Abby Professional overage corrected to $2.99 per Abby Minute (its terms and help center), from $3.00 computed as price divided by minutes.
