Rosie AI Receptionist Pricing 2026: Plans, Minutes and the Upgrade Rule

Published · prices checked October 26, 2026

Key takeaways

  • Rosie costs $149 a month at 3 and 5 three-minute calls a day alike, and $299 at 13: its Scale plan's 1,000 minutes run out at about 11 calls a day.
  • Rosie charges no overage rate: its terms move you up to the next plan, and an upgrade binds for the current billing period and at least the next two.
  • At 13 calls a day Rosie costs $299 on Growth, more than Goodcall, NextPhone and Upfirst and less than My AI Front Desk, Dialzara, RingCentral AI Receptionist and Smith.ai AI Receptionist.
  • Every call is rounded up to the next full minute, so a 20-second hang-up uses a minute of the allowance.

Rosie starts at $49/month (250 minutes), and 5 three-minute calls a day cost $149 a month on its cheapest plan for that volume (prices checked October 26, 2026). What moves the bill is the minute allowance: every call rounds up to a full minute, and going over moves you up a plan.

Rosie pricing plans

Prices checked against each vendor's own pricing page on October 26, 2026.

PlanPrice and allowancePast the allowanceThe math
Professional$49/month for 250 minutesMoves up to the next plan$49 ÷ 250 min = $0.20/min
Scale$149/month for 1,000 minutesMoves up to the next plan$149 ÷ 1,000 min = $0.15/min
Growth$299/month for 2,000 minutesNot published$299 ÷ 2,000 min = $0.15/min

Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are not included. How we price.

All three plans answer around the clock and take English and Spanish callers. Calendar booking starts on Scale; Professional sends appointment links by text. Annual billing gives "2 months free" on the pricing page (heyrosie.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026).

A website texting add-on is sold separately at $50 a month: "25 conversations included per month", then "$1 per additional conversation", according to the same pricing page.

What Rosie costs at 3, 5 and 13 calls a day

At 3 minutes a call, 3 calls a day is 270 minutes a month. That is past Professional's 250, so the cheapest plan that covers it is Scale, at $149/month for 1,000 minutes. Scale's 1,000 minutes also cover 5 and 10 calls a day, so the cost is flat up to about 11 a day. At 13 calls a day the line uses 1,170 minutes, and the cheapest plan that covers it is Growth, $299/month for 2,000 minutes:

Calls a dayCalls a monthMonthly costPer callA year
390$149$1.66 a call$1,788
5150$149$0.99 a call$1,788
10300$149$0.50 a call$1,788
13390$299$0.77 a call$3,588

Professional fits only if your calls stay under 250 billed minutes. With every call rounded up, that is 83 three-minute calls a month, or 125 calls that each bill 2 minutes.

How Rosie counts a minute

  • Billing unit: Per minute, in monthly minute bundles
  • Rounding: 60 seconds, rounded up per call
  • Time billed beyond the call: Connect to disconnect only
  • Spam and short calls: Blocked numbers use no minutes; calls its spam detection hangs up on: not stated
  • Setup fee: None on the pricing page; the terms allow setup or activation fees
  • Contract: 30-day subscription that renews automatically
  • Trial: 7 days free

The terms set the rounding plainly: "Services Minutes are calculated and billed in 60-second increments and calls are rounded up to the next 60-second mark." (heyrosie.com/legal/terms, read October 27, 2026)

The meter runs from connect to disconnect: minutes start "from the time the Caller's call connects with the AI Receptionist and ends when the call disconnects", per the same terms. Nothing is billed for after-call work, because there is none.

Spam is split in two. Numbers you block, and 1-800 numbers if you block them, use no minutes: the caller hears a blocked message instead. Rosie's help center describes a separate smart spam detection that hangs up on sales and scam calls, but it does not say whether those calls use minutes (heyrosie.com/support, read October 27, 2026).

Rosie is listed in the HubSpot App Marketplace, where the listing says "Every call Rosie answers becomes a logged call on the contact's timeline in HubSpot" (HubSpot App Marketplace, read October 27, 2026). Its blog names calendar booking "with support for Google Calendar, Calendly, Acuity and Appointlet". The other tools run through Zapier, which every plan lists as "Zapier integration - connect to 1,000+ apps" (pricing page, read October 26, 2026): a Zap you set up and pay Zapier for. Fees, contract and trial

  • Setup fee: none on the pricing page. The terms let Rosie charge "fees for any additional options, initial setup, or activation, as applicable" with the first payment, without naming an amount.
  • Contract: "The duration of your Subscription with Rosie is 30 days." It renews every 30 days until you cancel.
  • Cancelling: "You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your Dashboard," effective at the end of the current billing cycle. Payments are not refunded.
  • Trial: 7 days free on the pricing page. The terms say a trial converts to a paid subscription "unless you cancel prior to the end of the free trial period."
  • Late payment: "we may charge a late fee of $10" plus 1.5% interest a month on balances more than 30 days past due, per the terms.
  • Your number: port it out within three months of leaving. The terms: "Rosie reserves the right to release or reassign any telephone numbers not ported back within three months after termination".

All quotes from heyrosie.com/legal/terms, read October 27, 2026, unless named otherwise.

The catch

  1. Going over moves you up a plan, not a meter. The terms: "Rosie will automatically upgrade the Subscriber to a higher Subscription Plan to cover the additional Services Minutes usage." One busy month on Professional moves you to Scale, $149/month for 1,000 minutes.
  2. The upgrade sticks for three billing periods. Changes that add fees "apply to the then-current monthly billing period and at least the subsequent two consecutive billing periods". A single spike costs the Scale price for that month and at least the next two, and a downgrade waits until the next period after that.
  3. Every call is at least a minute. A 20-second wrong number bills a full minute of the allowance. On a line with many short calls, Professional's 250 minutes cover fewer calls than the 3-minute arithmetic suggests.
  4. Growth is the ceiling. The largest published plan is Growth, $299/month for 2,000 minutes, and no rate past it is published. Above 2,000 billed minutes a month, the price is not on the page.

Where Rosie is a good buy

Between about 3 and 11 calls a day the bill does not move: Scale's 1,000 minutes cover 333 three-minute calls. If your volume swings inside that band, Rosie's bill stays put. Near the top of it, at 10 calls a day, Scale costs less than every AI receptionist in the table below except Goodcall, which costs $129 when every call is a different caller. Rosie also costs less than NextPhone's $199 there.

At the low end of the band it loses: at 3 calls a day Upfirst costs $59.95 against Rosie's $149. Below the band, Professional costs $49/month for 250 minutes. Above it the bill doubles: at 13 calls a day Growth costs $299, more than Goodcall, NextPhone and Upfirst.

Yes, 7 days, according to its pricing page. Rosie's terms say the trial turns into a paid subscription at the end unless you cancel before it ends.

Can Rosie answer in Spanish?

Yes. Rosie's pricing page lists English and Spanish on every call, on every plan, with no extra charge named.

How these numbers were made

Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. The in-house figure uses the BLS median wage for receptionists over 2,080 paid hours (paid leave included), other employer benefit costs and turnover, each from the BLS release named below. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

  • Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
  • My AI Front Desk: the 1,000 monthly overage credits its pricing page lists as included ("Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage") now count as 40 included minutes, so Business-in-a-Box covers 240 minutes before the $0.25 rate applies (was 200).
  • Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
