Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Taxes, setup fees, add-ons and Zapier are not included. How we price.

Read the Smith.ai row with care. The table prices Smith.ai's AI Receptionist at $270, but the ServiceTitan page names its live Virtual Receptionists as the product that writes there. The live service is the price to compare.

The ServiceTitan Marketplace lists 220 partners, read October 27, 2026. None is one of the 18 vendors in our integration matrix: the AI listings are Sameday AI and Hatch AI, and the one answering service is Dexcomm. So both built-in cells come from the vendors' own pages, and we have not tested either on a ServiceTitan account. For every tool at once, see the AI receptionist integration matrix.

What each built-in connection writes to ServiceTitan

Abby Connect: a booked job with an arrival window

Abby Connect's AI Receptionist "offers callers real arrival windows from your live ServiceTitan capacity and books the job onto the dispatch board" (abby.com/integration/servicetitan, read October 27, 2026).

You choose where jobs land: on the board, or "as a booking to accept" for a CSR, per the same page. Existing customers can have an appointment found, moved or cancelled "with the reason recorded". Setup sets "which job types and business units the AI Receptionist may book", so the rules are yours to write.

The bill is the catch. Abby prices live and AI answering together, and our 3-minute arithmetic counts every minute at the full rate. Its pricing page says AI answering "counts as half an Abby Minute" (abby.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026), so an all-AI line uses fewer minutes than the table shows.

Smith.ai: a customer record and a call note, from live receptionists

Smith.ai lists three things it does after every call: create a customer profile for new callers, "Match callers with existing customers who already exist in ServiceTitan", and "Add a note to the caller's customer profile with all the call information" (smith.ai/integrates-with/servicetitan, read October 27, 2026).

The page does not describe booking a job or an arrival window. Its "Works with" list reads Virtual Receptionists and Outreach Campaigns. If you want an AI on the line, ask Smith.ai whether its AI Receptionist uses this connection; the page does not say.

The two on price

At 5 calls a day Abby Connect costs $1,346.50, less than Smith.ai's live receptionists at $1,440. At 13 calls a day Smith.ai costs $2,865 and Abby $3,229.20: the order flips at about 254 calls a month. Smith.ai bills per call; Abby by the minute, so long calls weigh more on Abby's bill.

What "via Zapier" means for ServiceTitan

12 of 18 vendors we track reach ServiceTitan only through Zapier: Bland, Dialzara, Goodcall, My AI Front Desk, NextPhone, Phonely, Posh, Retell AI, Rosie, Ruby, Synthflow and Upfirst. Each has a Zapier app with a call trigger, ServiceTitan's Zapier app has a write action, and the vendor documents Zapier. You build the Zap in your own Zapier account and pay Zapier for it.

ServiceTitan's Zapier app has 56 write actions, read October 27, 2026, from Create Booking and Create Customer to Create Job, Create Lead and Reschedule Appointment. Create Booking puts a call in the queue your CSRs already work. A Zap runs after the call ends, so it cannot offer the caller a real arrival window the way Abby says it does.

NextPhone documents this route: "Connect them through Zapier or a webhook and every call becomes data in ServiceTitan" (getnextphone.com/integrations/servicetitan, read October 27, 2026). Its page says it creates customers and opens jobs, and puts the setup on its Growth plan, $299/month for unlimited calls.

Retell AI, a build-your-own platform, describes the same chain: "Inbound service call → Retell agent collects the job details → Zapier creates the ServiceTitan job" (retellai.com/integrations/servicetitan, read October 27, 2026). My AI Front Desk has a marketing page that says "Frontdesk integrates natively with ServiceTitan" (myaifrontdesk.com/answering-service-for-plumbers/servicetitan, read October 27, 2026), but ServiceTitan is not on its integrations page or in its help center. We record it as via Zapier.

At 13 calls a day, Goodcall costs $129, less than NextPhone, Rosie, Upfirst, Phonely, My AI Front Desk and Dialzara, the other AI receptionists that reach ServiceTitan through Zapier. Goodcall bills per unique caller; our arithmetic counts each call as a new one.

What to ask before you buy

  1. Does the AI book a job, or log a customer and a note? Abby documents a booked job with an arrival window; Smith.ai a customer record and a note; a Zap whatever action you pick.
  2. Which job types and business units may it book? Abby sets these at onboarding. Ask any vendor how it stops an AI booking a job type you do not run after hours.
  3. Does it read live capacity, or book blind? Only a connection that reads capacity during the call can offer a real window. Abby's page says it does; the Zapier routes run after the call.
  4. Is the product you are pricing the one that writes? Smith.ai's page lists live receptionists, not the AI Receptionist.
  5. Who builds and pays for the Zap? NextPhone says its team sets up the ServiceTitan connection on Growth; on the other Zapier routes, you do.
  6. Can I watch a test call land in ServiceTitan? No vendor here publishes one, and we have not run one yet.

Which one fits which shop

For AI booking into live capacity: Abby Connect

Abby's page describes its AI Receptionist booking ServiceTitan arrival windows during the call. At 5 calls a day it costs $1,346.50, so it fits a shop where one booked install covers the month.

For a person on every call at 13 calls a day: Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists

At 13 calls a day Smith.ai's live receptionists cost $2,865, less than Abby on our arithmetic. You get a customer record and a call note, not a booked window.

For CSR overflow on a flat bill: NextPhone through Zapier

NextPhone's Growth plan is $299/month for unlimited calls, and its team sets up the Zap or webhook. The work lands after the call: no live arrival window.

If you are weighing this against another CSR: one full-time receptionist on the BLS median wage for May 2025 costs $4,399 a month with benefits and turnover: hire vs AI receptionist. Other field tools: Jobber and Housecall Pro.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which AI receptionist integrates with ServiceTitan?

Abby Connect and Smith.ai document built-in ServiceTitan connections on their own pages, read October 27, 2026. Abby's AI Receptionist books jobs into arrival windows; Smith.ai's page lists its live receptionists. 12 of 18 vendors we track, NextPhone included, connect through Zapier.

Is any AI receptionist listed in the ServiceTitan Marketplace?

Yes, but none of the 18 vendors in our integration matrix. The ServiceTitan Marketplace listed 220 partners when we read it on October 27, 2026, including Sameday AI and Hatch AI, and one answering service, Dexcomm.

Can an AI receptionist book jobs on the ServiceTitan dispatch board?

Abby Connect says its AI Receptionist books the job onto the dispatch board from live ServiceTitan capacity, or leaves it as a booking for a CSR to accept. A Zapier route can run Create Booking after the call, but it cannot offer a window during the call.

How much does a ServiceTitan AI receptionist cost?

At 5 three-minute calls a day, Abby Connect costs $1,346.50 a month and Smith.ai's live receptionists $1,440. NextPhone's Growth plan, which includes its ServiceTitan setup through Zapier or a webhook, is $299/month for unlimited calls. Zapier's fee is extra on any Zap.

Does Smith.ai's AI receptionist work with ServiceTitan?

Smith.ai's ServiceTitan page, read October 27, 2026, lists Virtual Receptionists and Outreach Campaigns under "Works with", not AI Receptionist. It creates or matches a customer and adds a call note after each call.

How these numbers were made

Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. The in-house figure uses the BLS median wage for receptionists over 2,080 paid hours (paid leave included), other employer benefit costs and turnover, each from the BLS release named below. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices

  • Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
  • Retell AI: corrected the transfer term. Its pricing page says "Once the call is transferred, the AI voice agent fee stops. Only the telephony fee continues for the remainder of the transferred call." The index had said the whole call was billed after a transfer. No price changed.
  • My AI Front Desk: the 1,000 monthly overage credits its pricing page lists as included ("Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage") now count as 40 included minutes, so Business-in-a-Box covers 240 minutes before the $0.25 rate applies (was 200).
  • Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
  • My AI Front Desk: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.

  • Rosie added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Rosie moves an account up a plan instead of charging overage.
  • Goodcall added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Goodcall bills per unique caller a month; our arithmetic counts every call as a different caller.
  • Dialzara added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026).
  • Upfirst added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Upfirst does not bill calls under 15 seconds or spam.

  • Added NextPhone Pro, Growth and Scale from its public pricing page. All three plans include unlimited calls with no per-minute charge or overage fee.
  • Smith.ai AI Receptionist: billing terms added.
  • Ruby: 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 minutes ($4,945, $6,400 and $7,875, overage $3.50 to $3.30 a minute) added from its help center (read October 7, 2026).

  • Posh: billing terms added from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 7, 2026): billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam billing, setup fee, contract and trial.
  • Abby Connect: billing terms added from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 7, 2026): billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam billing, setup fee, contract and trial.
  • Ruby: overage rates added from its help center ($5.40/min on the 50-minute plan down to $3.65 on 1,000 minutes), plus the 350, 750 and 1,000 minute plans published there. Ruby's pricing page still shows no overage rate.
  • Abby Professional overage corrected to $2.99 per Abby Minute (its terms and help center), from $3.00 computed as price divided by minutes.
