Goodcall Pricing 2026: Per-Caller Plans, Repeat Callers and the Real Bill
Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- At 3, 5 and 13 three-minute calls a day, Goodcall costs $79, $118.50 and $129 a month on our worst-case count of one caller per call.
- Goodcall bills each phone number once a month. Callers who ring back cost nothing more, so our every-call-is-new arithmetic is the most a month can cost.
- At 13 calls a day Goodcall costs less than every other ready-made AI receptionist in our table. At 3 a day Upfirst costs less, $59.95.
- No free trial: a free demo agent with no phone number. Downgrading to it in a slow season gives up your Goodcall number.
Goodcall starts at $79/month (100 unique callers), and 5 three-minute calls a day cost $118.50 a month when every call comes from a different number (prices checked October 26, 2026). It bills callers, not calls or minutes, so customers who ring back can lower the real bill below ours.
Goodcall pricing plans
Prices checked against each vendor's own pricing page on October 26, 2026.
| Plan | Price and allowance | Past the allowance | The math |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $79/month for 100 unique callers | $0.79 a caller | $79 ÷ 100 callers = $0.79/caller |
| Growth | $129/month for 500 unique callers | $0.26 a caller | $129 ÷ 500 callers = $0.26/caller |
| Scale | $299/month for 2,000 unique callers | $0.15 a caller | $299 ÷ 2,000 callers = $0.15/caller |
Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls, counting every Goodcall call as a new caller. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are not included. How we price.
Goodcall defines its unit in one line: "One phone number, once a month. The same person calling five times in a month is one customer. Spam and wrong numbers don't count." (goodcall.com/faq, read October 27, 2026)
The plans differ in more than callers. Starter includes 1 team member, 1 external tool and 30 days of call history. Growth raises those to 5 team members, 5 tools and 90 days; Scale to 10 members, 15 tools and unlimited history (goodcall.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026).
Every call a new caller: how we price Goodcall
Every other vendor in our index bills calls, minutes or a flat fee, and the table compares them at the same call volumes. To put Goodcall in the same columns, we count each call as a different caller. That is the worst case: no caller ever rings twice.
Goodcall's own pricing page assumes the opposite. Under Starter's 100 customers it prints "About 150 calls/month", and under Growth's 500, "About 750 calls/month". That is 1.5 calls per caller. The bill both ways:
| Calls a day | Calls a month | Every call a new caller (our math) | Per call | At 1.5 calls per caller (Goodcall's ratio) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 90 | $79 | $0.88 a call | $79 for 60 callers |
| 5 | 150 | $118.50 | $0.79 a call | $79 for 100 callers |
| 13 | 390 | $129 | $0.33 a call | $129 for 260 callers |
| 30 | 900 | $233 | $0.26 a call | $155 for 600 callers |
At 3 and 13 calls a day, repeat callers change nothing: the plan that fits is the same either way. At 5 a day they keep you inside Starter's 100 callers, and at 30 a day they cut the bill from $233 to $155.
To know your own ratio, count distinct numbers in last month's call log, not calls. A line full of existing clients calling about their jobs repeats far more than a line of new leads.
How Goodcall counts a caller
- Billing unit: Per unique caller a month
- Rounding: No minute or call meter
- Time billed beyond the call: No time-based charge
- Spam and short calls: Spam and wrong numbers not counted
- Setup fee: None stated; billing starts when you add a number
- Contract: Month-to-month
- Trial: No trial; a free demo agent without a phone number
Call length does not enter the bill: "We never meter minutes, calls or tokens. You pay per unique customer". A thirty-second wrong number and a nine-minute booking "cost the same", per the FAQ.
One thing is metered: test runs. "Calls you make to test your agent use AI usage, not customers." Each plan includes some, "and you can top up $5 at a time" (same FAQ).
Going past your plan's callers does not move you up a plan. "Extra customers bill at your plan's own rate", and Goodcall says it will "tell you when a bigger plan would be cheaper than staying where you are" (goodcall.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026). Switching is yours to do.

The pricing page counts connections as "external tools": "Anything you connect or build: an API, an MCP server, or a code block you write yourself." Starter allows one. See which receptionists write to Clio, HubSpot, Jobber and more.
Fees, contract and trial
- Trial: none. "You get a free demo agent instead. Build it, test it and hear it answer at no cost."
- When billing starts: "When you add a phone number, then monthly on that date." An upgrade starts at once, "charged the prorated difference".
- Contract: "Every plan is month to month". Asked about an annual plan: "Not right now. Every plan bills monthly."
- Older prices: "Older prices like $66 a month were annual plans on our previous platform and aren't offered now." A lower Goodcall price on another site is likely that one.
- Refunds: the terms say "Payments made by you hereunder are final. You may request a refund for the current month of service".
- Disputes: "you must let Goodcall know within sixty (60) days after the date that Goodcall charges you" (terms).

Your number: what you keep and what you lose
Every plan includes a local US number. Your existing number stays with your carrier: "Keep your number with your current carrier and forward its calls to your Goodcall number." Porting it in is not offered: "Not yourself yet."
The Goodcall number itself is the one you can lose. There is no pause. The FAQ's slow-season advice is to downgrade to the free demo agent, which "keeps its whole setup, but gives up its phone number." Come back and "you pick a plan again and get a new number."
If your callers dial your own forwarded number, that costs you a forwarding change. If you printed the Goodcall number on your trucks or listings, it costs you the number. Goodcall numbers are "local US numbers today", so no toll-free option exists (all quotes goodcall.com/faq, read October 27, 2026).
The catch
- No trial on real calls. The demo agent has no phone number, so the first live call you hear is on a paid plan.
- Starter is small beyond callers. One team member and one external tool. The agent "can send texts" but "It can't receive replies yet" (FAQ).
- No slow-season price. "There's no pause, and no price below" Starter, per the FAQ. The way down to free gives up the number.
- You change plans yourself. At 5 new callers a day Starter plus overage costs $118.50, near Growth's $129/month for 500 unique callers. Past that, staying on Starter costs more than Growth until you switch.
- Callers are told it is AI. "Callers are told they're speaking with an AI assistant." (FAQ) If you want callers not to know, this is not the product.
Where Goodcall is a good buy
At 13 calls a day Goodcall costs $129, less than every other ready-made AI receptionist in our table at that volume, even on our worst-case count. Repeat callers only lower that.
Long calls cost nothing extra, and spam and wrong numbers are not counted. On Growth, Goodcall costs more than NextPhone's flat price only from about 770 calls a month of new callers.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Goodcall cost per month?
Goodcall's plans are $79/month for 100 unique callers, $129/month for 500 unique callers and $299/month for 2,000 unique callers, read from its pricing page on October 26, 2026. At 13 three-minute calls a day, with one caller per call, it costs $129 a month.
What counts as a unique caller on Goodcall?
One phone number, once a month. Goodcall's FAQ says the same person calling five times in a month counts once, and spam and wrong numbers do not count.
Does Goodcall have a free trial?
No. Goodcall offers a free demo agent you can build and test without a phone number. Billing starts when you add a number and pick a plan.
Can I keep my phone number with Goodcall?
Yes, by forwarding it from your current carrier to the Goodcall number Goodcall gives you. Goodcall's FAQ says you cannot port a number in yourself yet.
What happens if I go over my Goodcall plan?
Each extra caller bills at your plan's own overage rate, $0.79 a caller on Starter. Goodcall does not move you to a bigger plan; its pricing page says it tells you when one would cost less.
Can I pause Goodcall for a slow season?
No. Goodcall's FAQ says there is no pause and suggests downgrading to the free demo agent, which gives up the Goodcall phone number. Returning means a new number.
How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. The in-house figure uses the BLS median wage for receptionists over 2,080 paid hours (paid leave included), other employer benefit costs and turnover, each from the BLS release named below. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices
- Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
- My AI Front Desk: the 1,000 monthly overage credits its pricing page lists as included ("Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage") now count as 40 included minutes, so Business-in-a-Box covers 240 minutes before the $0.25 rate applies (was 200).
- Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
- My AI Front Desk: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Phonely: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- RingCentral AI Receptionist: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Rosie added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Rosie moves an account up a plan instead of charging overage.
- Goodcall added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Goodcall bills per unique caller a month; our arithmetic counts every call as a different caller.
- Dialzara added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026).
- Upfirst added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Upfirst does not bill calls under 15 seconds or spam.
- Smith.ai AI Receptionist Enterprise at 500 calls ($800, $2.10 per extra call) added from its pricing page, in a full re-check of every source page.
- Added NextPhone Pro, Growth and Scale from its public pricing page. All three plans include unlimited calls with no per-minute charge or overage fee.
- Smith.ai AI Receptionist: billing terms added.
- My AI Front Desk: overage of $0.25 a minute (25 credits at $0.01) added; it was on the captured page but missing here.
- Smith.ai AI Receptionist: billing terms added from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 7, 2026): billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam billing, setup fee, contract and trial.
