Abby Connect Pricing 2026: Plans, Abby Minutes and What AI Answering Saves
Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- With a person on every call, 50, 100 and 200 three-minute calls a month cost $493, $898 and $1,656 on Abby Connect.
- An AI-answered minute uses half an Abby Minute, so 100 calls answered by AI cost what 50 calls answered by people do: $493.
- Abby rounds each call to 30 seconds, but the clock includes ring time and transfer time.
- People answer weekdays 5am to 9pm Pacific and shorter hours on weekends; the AI covers the rest.
- Cancelling after the first 30 days takes 30 days' notice, and Abby keeps numbers it assigned.
Abby Connect starts at $164/month (50 minutes), and 100 three-minute calls a month cost $898 with a person on every call (prices checked October 26, 2026). The bill turns on who answers: one plan covers people and an AI receptionist, and an AI minute uses half an Abby Minute.
Abby Connect pricing plans
Prices checked against each vendor's own pricing page on October 26, 2026.
| Plan | Price and allowance | Past the allowance | The math |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter (50 Abby Minutes) | $164/month for 50 minutes | $3.29 a minute | $164 ÷ 50 min = $3.28/min |
| Essential (100 Abby Minutes) | $329/month for 100 minutes | $3.29 a minute | $329 ÷ 100 min = $3.29/min |
| Professional (200 Abby Minutes) | $599/month for 200 minutes | $2.99 a minute | $599 ÷ 200 min = $3.00/min |
| Growth (500 Abby Minutes) | $1,380/month for 500 minutes | $2.76 a minute | $1,380 ÷ 500 min = $2.76/min |
Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls answered by people. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are not included. How we price.
Enterprise, at 1,000 Abby Minutes and up, is quote only. "Overage is billed at your plan's Abby Minute rate", and you can move up a plan at any time (abby.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026).
Plans also cap how many questions a person asks on each call, per Abby's help center (read October 26, 2026):
| Plan | Questions per human-answered call |
|---|---|
| Starter | 5 |
| Essential | 5 |
| Professional | 10 |
| Growth | 15 |
"AI-handled calls can include unlimited questions" (help.abby.com, read October 26, 2026). A longer intake script on Starter means either the AI asks it or you move up.
What Abby Connect costs at 50, 100, 200 and 300 calls
| Calls a month | People answer every call | Per call | AI answers every call |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $493 | $9.86 a call | $246.25 |
| 100 | $898 | $8.98 a call | $493 |
| 200 | $1,656 | $8.28 a call | $898 |
| 300 | $2,484 | $8.28 a call | $1,346.50 |
With people answering, 100 three-minute calls are 300 Abby Minutes. Professional covers 200 of them, $599/month for 200 minutes, and the other 100 bill at $2.99 a minute: $898.
The AI column is our arithmetic on Abby's rule. An AI minute uses half an Abby Minute, so 100 three-minute AI calls use 150 Abby Minutes, the same as 50 human calls, and cost the same. Abby's help center gives the rule: "100 minutes of calls handled entirely by AI would use 50 Abby Minutes." An account that mixes the two lands between the columns.
How Abby Connect counts a minute
- Billing unit: Abby Minute (one AI minute counts as half)
- Rounding: Each part rounded to the second, total rounded up to 30 seconds
- Time billed beyond the call: Ring time and transfer time; hold excluded
- Spam and short calls: No billing rule published
- Setup fee: None ("No Setup Fee")
- Contract: Month-to-month; 30 days notice after the first 30 days; no refunds
- Trial: 14 days or 500 minutes, card required; 22-day money-back
The terms describe "a two-step rounding formula" that "includes ring time, talk time, and transfer time but excludes any potential hold time". Each part rounds up to the second; the sum rounds up to the next 30 seconds. Abby's own example is a call with 9.1 seconds of ring, 14.5 of talk and 9.6 of transfer: 35 seconds, billed as "one (1) minute of measured call time" (abby.com terms, read October 26, 2026).
A call split between the AI and a person is metered in parts: "The AI portion bills at the AI rate, the human portion at the human rate" (pricing page, read October 26, 2026). Outbound calls bill "time waiting for the caller to pick up", wrong numbers dialed from bad contact details, and voicemails left (terms).
No published rule says whether spam uses Abby Minutes. The pricing page lists call blocking to "save time and minutes"; blocked numbers are your job to add.

Fees, contract and trial
- Setup fee: "No Setup Fee" on the pricing page; the help center adds that "Optional add-ons or custom solutions may have separate setup or service charges."
- Contract: "month-to-month and automatically renew on a monthly basis" (terms).
- Cancelling: free in the first 30 days of a paid plan; after that, "at least 30 days' advance notice", and Abby enforces "a strict no refund policy" (terms).
- Money-back: "a 22-day money-back guarantee", for new clients on their first purchase (terms).
- Trial: "14 days or 500 Abby Minutes, whichever comes first", with a card on file and an automatic charge at the end (terms).
- Your number: "Any telephone number assigned to you by Abby Connect shall remain the property of Abby Connect." Numbers you port in stay yours (terms).
Terms quotes from abby.com/resources/terms-and-conditions, read October 26, 2026.
The catch
- Ring time is billed. Abby's product page pitches 30-second increments "unlike other call answering services that round up to full minutes" (abby.com, read October 7, 2026); the terms add the seconds before anyone picks up to that 30-second total.
- "24/7 Coverage" is people by day and AI at other hours. The terms: "Standard human receptionist answering is available during normal business hours: 5am-9pm PST weekdays, and 6am-6pm PST on weekends". People are also off on seven holidays the terms name.
- A busy month can rewrite your plan. Above 1,000 Abby Minutes in a billing period, Abby "may automatically upgrade you to a custom Enterprise Plan" sized from recent days of use, "charged at a rate of $2.76 per Abby Minute" (terms).
- Thirty days' notice, then the rest of a cycle. Cancellation takes effect "at the end of the billing cycle during which the 30-day notice period expires" (terms). Notice given just after a billing date can cost most of two cycles.
- The trial charges unless you email. To stop the automatic charge, "you must email your cancellation request to billing@abby.com at least 24 hours before expiration of the Free Trial period" (terms).
Where Abby Connect is a good buy
At 50, 100 and 200 three-minute calls, Abby Connect costs less than Ruby, whose rounding is a full minute against Abby's 30 seconds. At 100 calls it also costs less than Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists, $898 against $915.
The AI half-rate moves the bill more: 100 three-minute calls cost $493 with the AI answering, against $898 with people. Routine calls can go to the AI and the rest to people, on one plan with one pool of minutes. There is "no weekend upcharge" (pricing page), and Spanish is included.

How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.
