Posh Virtual Receptionist Pricing 2026: Plans, Minutes and the Fine Print
Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- At 50, 100 and 200 three-minute calls a month, Posh costs $322.50, $630 and $1,170 on its cheapest plan for each volume.
- Posh's terms round every call up to a full minute; a Posh blog post says a 90-second call counts as 1.5 minutes. The terms are the contract.
- Posh costs less than Ruby, Smith.ai and Abby Connect at 50, 100 and 200 calls, but at 100 calls seven live services in our tables cost less, Go Answer and PATLive among them.
- Posh says it is "often half the price of our competitors". At 100 calls Ruby costs 1.8 times Posh, but Go Answer costs less than Posh.
- The trial runs 7 days or 250 minutes with no card. Spanish is guaranteed only on weekday hours.
Posh starts at $65/month (pay per use at $2.30/min), and 100 three-minute calls a month cost $630 on its cheapest plan for that volume (prices checked October 26, 2026). What moves the bill is the receptionist minute: Posh's terms round every call up to a full one and add the time spent on your call after the caller hangs up.
Posh virtual receptionist pricing plans
Prices checked against each vendor's own pricing page on October 26, 2026.
| Plan | Price and allowance | Past the allowance | The math |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chic (pay per minute) | $65/month plus $2.30 a minute | $2.30 a minute | $65 base + $2.30/min used |
| Vogue (50 minutes) | $130/month for 50 minutes | $2.20 a minute | $130 ÷ 50 min = $2.60/min |
| Elegant (100 minutes) | $215/month for 100 minutes | $2.15 a minute | $215 ÷ 100 min = $2.15/min |
| 200 minutes | $420/month for 200 minutes | $2.10 a minute | $420 ÷ 200 min = $2.10/min |
| 350 minutes | $700/month for 350 minutes | $2.00 a minute | $700 ÷ 350 min = $2.00/min |
| Lavish (500 minutes) | $975/month for 500 minutes | $1.95 a minute | $975 ÷ 500 min = $1.95/min |
| Exclusive (1,000 minutes) | $1,900/month for 1,000 minutes | $1.90 a minute | $1,900 ÷ 1,000 min = $1.90/min |
Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are not included. How we price.
Posh names its plans Chïc, Vogue, Elegant, Luxurious (200 minutes), Prestigious (350 minutes), Lavish and Exclusive, with prices marked "Effective 1/1/26" (posh.com/pricing, read October 26, 2026). Elegant is labelled "Most popular".
On every Posh plan, the rate past the allowance is at or below the plan's own rate. On Elegant both are $2.15 a minute, and on Vogue the extra minute, $2.20 a minute, costs less than the included one, $130 ÷ 50 min = $2.60/min.
Chïc has no minutes in it. Posh's own example: 15 minutes on Chïc cost $99.50 before taxes (pricing FAQ, read October 26, 2026). The base fee is the same however few minutes you use, so Chïc suits a line that barely rings.
What Posh costs at 50, 100, 200 and 300 calls
| Calls a month | Minutes at 3 a call | Monthly cost | Per call | A year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 150 | $322.50 | $6.45 a call | $3,870 |
| 100 | 300 | $630 | $6.30 a call | $7,560 |
| 200 | 600 | $1,170 | $5.85 a call | $14,040 |
| 300 | 900 | $1,755 | $5.85 a call | $21,060 |
100 three-minute calls are 300 minutes. Luxurious costs $420/month for 200 minutes, and the other 100 minutes bill at $2.10 a minute: $630, less than moving up to Prestigious at $700/month for 350 minutes.
Posh's pricing page says its plans are "often half the price of our competitors" (read October 26, 2026). Our arithmetic at 100 calls: Ruby costs 1.8 times Posh, close to that claim. It does not hold against Go Answer at $345 or PATLive at $479, both less than Posh.
How Posh counts a minute
- Billing unit: Per minute
- Rounding: 60 seconds, rounded up (terms); Posh's blog says a 90-second call counts as 1.5 minutes
- Time billed beyond the call: After-call work
- Spam and short calls: No policy published
- Setup fee: None
- Contract: Month-to-month; cancels at the end of the cycle; non-refundable
- Trial: 7 days or 250 minutes, no card
The terms and the blog disagree. Terms: "Service usage is measured and billed in 60-second increments and call times are rounded up to the next 60-second increment." (posh.com/terms, read October 7, 2026) Blog: "a 90-second call counts as 1.5 minutes, not two" (posh.com blog, read October 7, 2026). The terms are the contract, and our table uses whole minutes.
The meter keeps running after the call: billed time includes "any time a receptionist spends completing any information on your call after the caller has hung up" (terms). Outbound "Assist" calls bill the review, the calls and the follow-up text or email.
On the AI-enabled plans, "Any time the AI Agent spends responding to calls, texts, or chats will be billed as Worktime, unless the applicable Service Plan states otherwise." (terms) Those plans list "Mixed minutes included" without a number (posh.com/ai, read October 7, 2026).
Spam has no written rule. The only line is from the blog: screened spam calls "do not consume meaningful minutes". Under whole-minute rounding, any spam call a receptionist answers is at least one minute.

Fees, contract and trial
- Setup fee: none. Accounts go live in "24-48 hours", per the pricing FAQ.
- Card payments: "payments made by credit card will incur a 3.0% surcharge"; debit and ACH carry none (terms).
- Contract: month-to-month, extending "until we receive a written cancellation request from you" (terms).
- Cancelling: the plan ends on the last day of the current billing cycle, and fees are non-refundable.
- Trial: "seven days or 250 receptionist minutes, whichever comes first", and "We don't even require any credit card info" (pricing FAQ).
- Your number: "You have no property rights to any telephone number or any other form of ID number that we assign to you" (terms).
Quotes from posh.com/terms, read October 7, 2026, and the pricing page, read October 26, 2026.
The catch
- Whole minutes, despite the blog. A 61-second call bills as 2 minutes under the terms. On short calls, Posh's per-call cost runs above what the blog's "precise increments" suggest.
- "Are there any other fees? Nope." That is the pricing FAQ. The terms add the card surcharge and "a reconnect fee determined by us at our discretion" for a suspended account.
- A partial month is a whole month. You pay "for each whole or partial month during which your agreement with us remains in effect" (terms).
- Spanish is guaranteed on weekdays only, and the hours differ by page. The FAQ guarantees Spanish "Monday through Friday between 9am and 6pm Eastern"; the bilingual page says "Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Eastern" (both read October 7, 2026).
- A call spike can end the service. Posh may stop service without notice if "your advertising is causing extreme fluctuations in call volume that adversely affects service to other customers" (terms). Seasonal and campaign-driven businesses should ask about this first.
Where Posh is a good buy
Against Ruby, Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists and Abby Connect, Posh costs the least at 50, 100 and 200 three-minute calls: $322.50, $630 and $1,170. It is not the lowest live price: at 100 calls Go Answer costs $345 and PATLive $479. Every feature is on every plan, users are unlimited, and the no-card trial lets you test it on real calls.
Posh bills on a "true monthly billing cycle", and its FAQ warns buyers about vendors "that use a 28-day billing cycle", which "basically allows them to sneak in an extra invoice each year" (read October 26, 2026). It also says "We answer over 95% of calls by the third ring" (posh.com/about, read October 7, 2026), a claim we report and have not tested.

How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.
