Simple Phones Pricing 2026: The 100-Call Plan and What Happens Past It
Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- Simple Phones costs $97 a month at 2 or 3 calls a day; at 5 and 13 a day it has no published price.
- Its FAQ says that if you exceed your tier's calls for the month, "your phone numbers will be released." No price for a larger tier is published.
- It bills per call, not per minute, so a long call costs the same as a short one inside the 100.
- At 3 three-minute calls a day it costs less than My AI Front Desk, Dialzara, RingCentral AI Receptionist, Rosie and NextPhone; Upfirst, Phonely and Goodcall cost less.
Simple Phones costs from $97/month (100 calls), so 3 calls a day cost $97 a month whatever their length (prices checked October 26, 2026). The bill is set by the call count, not minutes. Past 100 calls a month no price is published, and the FAQ says going over releases your phone numbers.
Simple Phones pricing plans
Prices checked against each vendor's own pricing page on October 26, 2026.
| Plan | Price and allowance | Past the allowance | The math |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | $97/month for 100 calls | Not published | $97 ÷ 100 calls = $0.97/call |
Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are not included. How we price.
The pricing page shows one number. Its FAQ adds: "If you anticipate your usage changing over time, you can always upgrade or downgrade at any time." (simplephones.ai/pricing, read October 26, 2026)
"Starts at" implies larger tiers, but none is priced on the page. There is no per-call rate past 100, no second plan, and no annual price. Anyone above about 3 calls a day has to ask.
What the price covers, in the same FAQ: "We'll cover the cost of the phone line and development costs of the agent, so don't worry about that." Agent changes cost nothing extra: "you can request customizations for free on an ongoing basis."
What Simple Phones costs at 50, 90 and 100 calls
100 calls a month is 3.3 calls a day. Inside that, the bill never moves; only the cost per call does:
| Calls a month | Calls a day | Monthly cost | Per call | A year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | about 1.7 | $97 | $1.94 a call | $1,164 |
| 90 | 3 | $97 | $1.08 a call | $1,164 |
| 100 | about 3.3 | $97 | $0.97 a call | $1,164 |
The math is one line: $97 ÷ 100 calls = $0.97/call when you use all 100. At 50 calls a month, the same price works out to $1.94 a call.
At 5 or 13 calls a day, 150 or 390 a month, we cannot price Simple Phones at all. Its page gives no rate for call 101 and no price for the next tier.
How Simple Phones counts a call
- Billing unit: Per call, in a monthly call bundle
- Rounding: Per call; duration not billed
- Time billed beyond the call: Phone line included in the plan
- Spam and short calls: Not published
- Setup fee: None stated
- Contract: No commitment; numbers released on cancelling or going over the tier
- Trial: 14 days free
Because the unit is a call, a 10-minute booking call uses one of the 100, the same as a 1-minute question. On a per-minute plan, long calls are what drain the allowance.
What the page leaves open is what counts as a call. It does not say whether hang-ups, wrong numbers, spam or calls under a few seconds use one of the 100. With a hard tier and a number release attached to it, that gap matters more here than on a plan with an overage rate.
Calls can also go out. The page lists outbound calling "to follow up with customers, stay in touch with leads, and make cold calls", and does not say whether outbound calls count toward the 100.
What happens past 100 calls
The FAQ answers it under "What if I cancel or go over my calls per month?": "If you cancel your plan, or you exceed the number of calls per month for your tier, your phone numbers will be released." (simplephones.ai/pricing, read October 26, 2026)
It adds that the AI agent is kept ready: "Whenever you're ready to request a new number, just subscribe to a new plan."
Read together, a busy month does not trigger a bill; it triggers losing the number Simple Phones assigned. The page does not say whether you get a warning first, or what happens to calls forwarded to a released number. Ask before you print that number on anything.
Your own business number is a separate case. The FAQ says you can keep it and forward missed calls, or all calls, "to the number we give you". Your carrier keeps your number either way.

The pricing FAQ says the team builds connections case by case: "We can also work with popular tools like Zapier, so when a customer provides information, we can send a webhook" (simplephones.ai/pricing, read October 26, 2026). Simple Phones' /integrations address returned a not-found page when we read it (October 27, 2026). See which AI receptionists write to Clio, HubSpot, Jobber and more.
Fees, contract and trial
- Setup fee: none named. The phone line and building the agent are covered by the plan, per the FAQ.
- Contract: none. The page: "there is no commitment, so you can cancel any time."
- Trial: "Start a 14-day free trial and create an AI agent instantly." The page does not say whether a card is needed.
- Your number: assigned numbers are released if you cancel or exceed your tier. Numbers are offered in 25 countries, and "Additional documentation, such as an excerpt from your country's commercial register, may be required to obtain a phone number."
- Languages: 20 listed, Spanish among them, with no extra charge named.
All quotes from simplephones.ai/pricing, read October 26, 2026. Simple Phones publishes no separate billing terms on that page.
The catch
- Going over costs you the number, not money. Exceed your tier and "your phone numbers will be released." A one-off busy month can cut off the line callers know.
- One price, one volume. The plan covers 100 calls. Above about 3 calls a day, there is no published price to compare.
- What counts as a call is not defined. Spam, hang-ups and outbound calls are not addressed, so you cannot tell how fast you reach 100.
- No terms beyond the FAQ. Billing date, refunds and renewals are not on the pricing page.
Where Simple Phones is a good buy
At 3 three-minute calls a day, Simple Phones costs $97, less than My AI Front Desk at $106.50, RingCentral AI Receptionist at $134, Rosie at $149 and NextPhone at $199.
It suits a line with few but long calls. Our arithmetic uses 3-minute calls. At 9 minutes a call, a per-minute plan uses three times the minutes the table assumes, while Simple Phones stays the same up to 100 calls. It also suits a business abroad: 25 countries' numbers and 20 languages are listed.

How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. The in-house figure uses the BLS median wage for receptionists over 2,080 paid hours (paid leave included), other employer benefit costs and turnover, each from the BLS release named below. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices
- Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
- My AI Front Desk: the 1,000 monthly overage credits its pricing page lists as included ("Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage") now count as 40 included minutes, so Business-in-a-Box covers 240 minutes before the $0.25 rate applies (was 200).
- Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
- My AI Front Desk: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Simple Phones: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Phonely: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- RingCentral AI Receptionist: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Rosie added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Rosie moves an account up a plan instead of charging overage.
- Goodcall added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Goodcall bills per unique caller a month; our arithmetic counts every call as a different caller.
- Dialzara added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026).
- Upfirst added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Upfirst does not bill calls under 15 seconds or spam.
- Added NextPhone Pro, Growth and Scale from its public pricing page. All three plans include unlimited calls with no per-minute charge or overage fee.
