My AI Front Desk Pricing 2026: Business-in-a-Box, Minutes and Overage Credits
Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- At 3, 5 and 13 three-minute calls a day, My AI Front Desk costs $106.50, $151.50 and $331.50 a month on its one self-serve plan.
- The plan covers 240 minutes; every minute past that is paid in credits at $0.25 a minute, so the bill climbs with every call past about 80 a month.
- At 3 three-minute calls a day it costs less than RingCentral AI Receptionist, Rosie and NextPhone; at 13 a day Goodcall, NextPhone, Upfirst and Rosie cost less.
- The terms say you still owe usage fees during the 7-day free trial, and fees are non-refundable.
My AI Front Desk costs $151.50 a month for 5 three-minute calls a day on its one self-serve plan (prices checked October 26, 2026). That plan is $99/month for 240 minutes: 200 voice plus a 1,000-credit pool worth 40. Past those 240 minutes, the rate is $0.25 a minute.
My AI Front Desk pricing plans
Prices checked against each vendor's own pricing page on October 26, 2026.
| Plan | Price and allowance | Past the allowance | The math |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business-in-a-Box | $99/month for 240 minutes: 200 voice plus a 1,000-credit pool worth 40 | $0.25 a minute | $99 ÷ 240 min = $0.41/min |
Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are not included. How we price.
The vendor now calls itself Frontdesk. Paid yearly, Business-in-a-Box drops to "$79/mo billed annually" (myaifrontdesk.com/pricing, read October 27, 2026). Above it sits Partner / Enterprise, priced by quote.
The same plan carries more than calls: 100 chatbot conversations, 400 texts, 500 email drafts and 300 form submissions a month, plus a CRM. The pricing page pitches Business-in-a-Box at 1 to 10 interactions a day, and the custom tier at 25 or more. The page does not define an interaction, and the plan's allowances cover chats and texts as well as calls.
What My AI Front Desk costs at 3, 5 and 13 calls a day
200 voice minutes plus the 40-minute credit pool cover 240 minutes, or 80 three-minute calls. Past that, extra minutes cost $0.25 a minute, so the bill climbs with every call:
| Calls a day | Calls a month | Monthly cost | Per call | A year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 90 | $106.50 | $1.18 a call | $1,278 |
| 5 | 150 | $151.50 | $1.01 a call | $1,818 |
| 13 | 390 | $331.50 | $0.85 a call | $3,978 |
Worked example: 13 calls a day is 1,170 minutes. The subscription covers the first 240; the other 930 minutes at $0.25 a minute bring the bill to $331.50.
The cost per call falls as volume rises, from $1.18 a call at 3 a day to $0.85 a call at 13. The monthly total never stops rising, because no larger self-serve plan exists to move into.
How the overage credits work
Overage is not billed in minutes but in credits, worth $0.01 each. The pricing page says each extra minute "draws 25 credits" from "the plan's monthly pool of 1,000 overage credits, which covers about 40 more minutes" (read October 27, 2026).
The page files that pool under included usage, and our arithmetic counts it as part of the plan: "Use it all at no extra charge. If you need more, overage credits kick in." It describes the pool as "Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage. Unused credits expire monthly."
When the pool runs dry, auto-reload buys more: "auto-reload adds 1,000 credits for $10, and purchased credits never expire." Each reload covers another 40 minutes, the same $0.25 a minute our arithmetic uses.
How My AI Front Desk counts a minute
- Billing unit: Per minute, in a monthly minute bundle
- Rounding: Not published
- Time billed beyond the call: Transferred-call minutes billed separately from AI minutes
- Spam and short calls: Robocall filter blocks spam; billing of blocked calls not stated
- Setup fee: None stated
- Contract: Month-to-month, or yearly at a discount
- Trial: 7 days free, no card; usage fees still apply
Neither the pricing page nor the terms say how a call is rounded or whether there is a per-call minimum. The terms tie usage fees to the pricing page: "Usage-based fees may apply in addition to the Subscription fee." (myaifrontdesk.com/terms-of-service, read October 27, 2026)
Transfers show up as their own line. Each call log has a Pricing Details tab with "a cost breakdown for the call, including AI call cost, transferred call cost, and any minutes covered by your free plan allowance" (help center, call logs, read October 27, 2026). The rate for transferred time is not on the pricing page.
Spam has a setting rather than a rule. Robo Call Detection is meant "to automatically identify and block spam calls from reaching your receptionist. This reduces unnecessary charges" (help center, advanced settings, read October 27, 2026). It does not say a blocked call is never billed.

Business-in-a-Box lists "Zapier + verified outbound number" among its features on the pricing page (read October 27, 2026), so a tool with a Zapier app can be reached that way. For every vendor against the same tools, see which AI receptionists write to Clio, HubSpot, Jobber and more.
Fees, contract and trial
- Setup fee: none named on the pricing page, which says "Setup in 5 minutes".
- Contract: none. The terms: "Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and will automatically renew" until you cancel.
- Cancelling: from account settings or customer service. "Following cancellation, your access to the Service will persist until the end of the current billing period." The cancel flow may offer a pause instead, per the help center.
- Refunds: "refunds are generally not provided", and usage fees are "non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly set forth herein."
- Trial: 7 days, "No credit card required" on the pricing page. The terms add: "You will still be responsible for usage fees, as defined in section eleven, despite being on a free trial."
- Upgrades: "Plan upgrades take effect immediately, and billing is prorated for the current cycle" (help center, plans, read October 27, 2026).
- Your number: neither the pricing page nor the terms say whether you can port a number out when you leave.
All quotes from myaifrontdesk.com/terms-of-service, read October 27, 2026, unless named otherwise.
The catch
- The trial is not free of usage. The terms make you "responsible for usage fees" during the free trial. The pricing page adds: "Trial included usage and any usage charges depend on your chosen plan or agreed written offer." The trial's own minute allowance is not printed.
- There is no bigger self-serve plan. At 13 calls a day, 930 of 1,170 minutes bill as overage, and $331.50 is the result. The next step up is a custom quote.
- Usage rates can move. The terms: "We reserve the right to change the usage fees at any time, subject to providing Users with prior notice of such changes". The notice period is not stated.
- Rounding is not published. Without a stated increment, you cannot check how a 20-second hang-up is metered against the 240 minutes.

Yes. The pricing page and help center use the name Frontdesk, and the terms are issued by AI Front Desk, Inc. The website address is still myaifrontdesk.com.
Does My AI Front Desk have a contract?
No. Plans renew every month or year until you cancel, and access lasts to the end of the paid period. The terms say refunds are generally not provided.
Does My AI Front Desk charge for spam calls?
The help center says its Robo Call Detection setting blocks spam calls and reduces unnecessary charges. It does not say that blocked calls are never billed, and no spam billing rule appears in the terms.
How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. The in-house figure uses the BLS median wage for receptionists over 2,080 paid hours (paid leave included), other employer benefit costs and turnover, each from the BLS release named below. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices
- Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
- My AI Front Desk: the 1,000 monthly overage credits its pricing page lists as included ("Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage") now count as 40 included minutes, so Business-in-a-Box covers 240 minutes before the $0.25 rate applies (was 200).
- Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
- My AI Front Desk: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Phonely: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- RingCentral AI Receptionist: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Rosie added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Rosie moves an account up a plan instead of charging overage.
- Goodcall added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Goodcall bills per unique caller a month; our arithmetic counts every call as a different caller.
- Dialzara added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026).
- Upfirst added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Upfirst does not bill calls under 15 seconds or spam.
- Added NextPhone Pro, Growth and Scale from its public pricing page. All three plans include unlimited calls with no per-minute charge or overage fee.
- My AI Front Desk: overage of $0.25 a minute (25 credits at $0.01) added; it was on the captured page but missing here.
