Bilingual Virtual Receptionist 2026: Spanish Pricing, Guaranteed Hours and AI Language Claims
Published · prices checked October 26, 2026
Key takeaways
- 8 of 9 live services with a Spanish rule include it free, so bilingual costs what English does: $260 to $1,160 a month for 100 calls (prices checked October 26, 2026).
- The catch is the clock: Posh guarantees Spanish on weekdays only, PATLive answers Spanish 8am to 10pm Eastern, and Ruby's FAQ and help center disagree.
- Smith.ai's all-Spanish line costs $1.00 a call on top of the plan; Go Answer's dedicated bilingual receptionist adds $0.30 a minute.
- Six AI receptionists we price include Spanish on every plan at no extra charge, and Dialzara on its Pro and Plus plans; several claim dozens of languages.
- Every service is priced on its cheapest published plan for the volume plus published overage, at 3-minute calls, Spanish or English.
As of October 26, 2026, a bilingual virtual receptionist costs $260 to $1,160 a month for 100 three-minute calls across our table, the same as English at most services. Smith.ai, Go Answer and Specialty Answering Service charge only for a dedicated Spanish line or account. What differs is when a Spanish speaker is guaranteed to pick up.

Our arithmetic: each vendor's cheapest published plan for that volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Spanish add-ons, taxes, setup fees and other add-ons are not included. How we price.
At 100 calls ReceptionHQ ReceptionistPlus costs the least of these ten, $260, and Ruby the most, $1,160. Without ReceptionHQ, MAP Communications costs the least at 50 calls. Spanish moves none of these numbers except at the services that sell a separate Spanish line.
What Spanish costs at each service
Of the live and hybrid services this site prices that publish a rule for Spanish, 8 of 9 say it costs nothing extra: Abby Connect, Go Answer, MAP Communications, Moneypenny (US), PATLive, Posh, Ruby and Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists (vendor terms, read October 5 to 7, 2026). Two services in the table charge for a dedicated Spanish line, and one for a Spanish sub-account:
- Smith.ai: a Spanish speaker on the regular line costs nothing extra: "We will transfer the caller to a Spanish-speaking agent at no extra cost to you." (docs.smith.ai, read October 26, 2026) For a line where every call is answered in Spanish, the pricing page lists "Dedicated Spanish line" at $1.00 a call (smith.ai/pricing/receptionists, read October 26, 2026).
- Go Answer: "Bilingual Agents" are included on every plan, and a "Dedicated Bilingual Receptionist" is $0.30 a minute extra (goanswer.io/pricing, read October 26, 2026).
- Specialty Answering Service: Spanish runs on a separate line that "is considered a sub account and will be billed according to the sub account fees listed on our pricing page" (specialtyansweringservice.net/register, read October 7, 2026). The pricing page lists sub-accounts at $10 a month (read October 26, 2026).
Smith.ai's help center prices its Spanish line per plan as well: "Starter plan: add $30/month", "Basic plan: $60/month" and "Pro plan: $150/month" (docs.smith.ai, read October 26, 2026). Starter matches the per-call price times its 30 calls. Basic and Pro come to less than the per-call price times their calls, so ask which figure you will be billed.
When Spanish is guaranteed: the hours
A service can include Spanish at no charge and still guarantee it only by day.
| Service | Spanish hours, in the vendor's words | Page, read |
|---|---|---|
| Posh | "We guarantee English and Spanish call answering at no additional charge Monday through Friday between 9am and 6pm Eastern." | posh.com/faqs, October 26, 2026 |
| Posh | "Our bilingual receptionists are available to answer your calls from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Eastern." | posh.com bilingual page, October 7, 2026 |
| PATLive | "Spanish Support: Available from 8 am to 10 pm ET." | help.patlive.com, October 7, 2026 |
| Ruby | "offering receptionist service for inbound calls in English and Spanish 24/7, 365 days a year" | Ruby help center, October 26, 2026 |
| Ruby | "Ruby's bilingual service and outgoing call assists are available Monday to Friday, 5am to 6pm Pacific" | ruby.com/faqs, October 7, 2026 |
Posh gives two different weekday windows on its own site. Outside them Spanish is best effort: "if we have bilingual virtual receptionists available, they will of course assist your callers in Spanish" (posh.com/faqs, read October 26, 2026). A Spanish speaker calling on Saturday is not guaranteed one.
Ruby changed its wording. Its FAQ, read October 7, 2026, limited bilingual service to weekday hours. Its help center, read October 26, 2026, says inbound Spanish runs 24/7. It limits only outbound calls: "Outbound call assists in English and Spanish are available Monday-Friday, from 5am-6pm, Pacific Time." (Ruby help center) On our reading, the help center is the newer page. Ask Ruby to confirm night and weekend Spanish in writing before you rely on it.
Ruby's handoff also adds a step. An English-speaking receptionist answers and says "Un momento, por favor." The caller then goes to the bilingual team, who "will briefly hear hold music until a bilingual receptionist answers" (same help center page). Ruby bills hold time.
Abby Connect routes to bilingual staff "as soon as one is available" when a Spanish caller reaches an English-only receptionist (Abby help center, read October 7, 2026). A phone tree that sends Spanish callers straight to bilingual receptionists is available on request.
Messages and summaries come back in English
Bilingual answering does not mean bilingual paperwork. PATLive: "All the messages we take will be written in English, even when we field a call in Spanish" (help.patlive.com, read October 7, 2026). Abby Connect's help center: "Call summaries and activity information in the Abby portal are generated in English." (read October 7, 2026) If your staff work in Spanish, ask what language your messages arrive in.
Spanish from an AI receptionist
AI receptionists answer in Spanish at any hour, with no shift to wait for. Six of the AI receptionists we price say Spanish comes free on every plan. They are NextPhone, Smith.ai's AI Receptionist, Rosie, RingCentral AI Receptionist, Upfirst and Simple Phones (vendor pages, read October 26 to 27, 2026). Dialzara offers Spanish on its Pro and Plus plans, not on its entry plan.
| Service | What it says about languages | Page, read |
|---|---|---|
| NextPhone | "Answers in English, Spanish and 12 more, switching the moment the caller does." | getnextphone.com, October 27, 2026 |
| Smith.ai AI Receptionist | "Conversational fluency in English and Spanish" | smith.ai/ai-receptionist, October 27, 2026 |
| Rosie | "English & Spanish on every call" | heyrosie.com/pricing, October 26, 2026 |
| RingCentral AI Receptionist | "AI Receptionist supports multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese" | ringcentral.com, October 26, 2026 |
| Upfirst | "Our AI receptionists can handle English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and over 90 additional languages" | help.upfirst.ai, October 27, 2026 |
| Simple Phones | "We can create an AI agent that understands, responds in, and has an accent in these languages" (the list includes Spanish) | simplephones.ai/pricing, October 26, 2026 |
| Dialzara | "Yes. Available on Pro and Plus." (asked about English and Spanish) | dialzara.com/pricing, October 27, 2026 |
| Phonely | "Phonely AI supports 100+ languages across voice, SMS, chat, and more" (no price rule stated) | phonely.ai, October 27, 2026 |
These are the vendors' claims; we have not tested them. Abby Connect's help center states one limit of its AI's language detection: "If another language is not detected during the first three responses, the conversation continues in English." (Abby help center, read October 7, 2026)

Of the six with Spanish on every plan, Upfirst costs the least at 3 calls a day, $59.95, and NextPhone at 13 a day, $199. Goodcall costs less than NextPhone at 13 a day. Neither Goodcall's nor My AI Front Desk's pages that we read state a language rule. More on the trade-off in virtual receptionist vs AI receptionist.
Which bilingual option fits which need
Best for the lowest bill with Spanish included at 100 calls: Go Answer
Go Answer includes "Bilingual Agents" on every plan and costs $345 at 100 calls. That is the least of the services in the table that say Spanish costs nothing extra. It may not fit if you want one dedicated bilingual receptionist, which adds $0.30 a minute.
Best for Spanish into the evening: PATLive
PATLive answers Spanish from 8am to 10pm Eastern at no extra charge, and costs $479 at 100 calls, less than Posh. Its messages come back in English, and its English line runs 24/7 while Spanish stops at 10pm.
Best for an all-Spanish line: Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists
The dedicated Spanish line puts every call with a fluent Spanish speaker, at $1.00 a call on top of $915 at 100 calls. Smith.ai answers 24/7. It does not fit a mostly-English line, since the add-on applies to every call of the plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do virtual receptionists charge extra for Spanish?
Not at most of the services we price. Abby Connect, Go Answer, MAP Communications, Moneypenny (US), PATLive, Posh, Ruby and Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists each say Spanish is included. Smith.ai sells an optional dedicated Spanish line at $1.00 a call. Go Answer sells a dedicated bilingual receptionist at $0.30 a minute, and Specialty Answering Service bills Spanish as a separate sub-account.
Can a virtual receptionist answer in Spanish 24/7?
Some say so. Ruby's help center says it answers inbound calls in Spanish 24/7, though its FAQ limited bilingual service to weekdays when we read it on October 7, 2026. Posh guarantees Spanish only on weekday business hours, and PATLive answers Spanish from 8am to 10pm Eastern. AI receptionists answer in Spanish at any hour.
How much does a bilingual virtual receptionist cost?
A bilingual virtual receptionist costs $260 to $1,160 a month for 100 three-minute calls across our table (prices checked October 26, 2026). That is the same as English at the services that include Spanish. AI receptionists cost $129 to $695.30 at 13 calls a day, and six of the ten in our AI table include Spanish on every plan.
Do AI receptionists speak Spanish?
Yes, most say so. Six of the AI receptionists we price include Spanish on every plan at no extra charge, among them NextPhone, Rosie, Upfirst and Smith.ai's AI Receptionist. Dialzara offers Spanish on its Pro and Plus plans only. These are vendor claims, which we report and have not tested.
Will messages from a Spanish call be in Spanish?
Not at PATLive or Abby Connect. PATLive says all its messages are written in English, even from a Spanish call, and Abby Connect generates call summaries in English. Ask the vendor before you sign if your team works in Spanish.
How these numbers were made
Every vendor price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date in its Source cell and saved as a dated capture. Monthly costs use each vendor's cheapest published plan for the volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices
- Upfirst: cancellation notice recorded as none. Its pricing FAQ says "You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime, no questions asked," the same strength as other cancel-anytime terms. Its setup-fee summary now reads "None stated": no page says there is no fee. No price changed.
- My AI Front Desk: the 1,000 monthly overage credits its pricing page lists as included ("Extra credits you get each month in case you go over your included usage") now count as 40 included minutes, so Business-in-a-Box covers 240 minutes before the $0.25 rate applies (was 200).
- Phonely: its Professional plan card says 650 minutes and its comparison table 750; the card is used. When two plans tie on their lowest cost, the one with the narrower range is chosen, so Phonely at 300 calls a month prices on Professional alone.
- My AI Front Desk: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Simple Phones: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Phonely: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- RingCentral AI Receptionist: billing-term summaries (billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam, setup fee, contract, trial) added from the vendor-data billing-terms and contracts files and their captures. No price changed.
- Rosie added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Rosie moves an account up a plan instead of charging overage.
- Goodcall added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Goodcall bills per unique caller a month; our arithmetic counts every call as a different caller.
- Dialzara added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026).
- Upfirst added from its own pricing page (captured October 26, 2026), with billing terms from its terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 27, 2026). Upfirst does not bill calls under 15 seconds or spam.
- Moneypenny (US) raised its live extra-minute rates on every plan: $2.28 to $2.85 (50 minutes), $2.12 to $2.65 (100), $1.91 to $2.39 (200) and $1.67 to $2.09 (500); plan prices are unchanged. Found in a full re-check of every source page.
- Abby Connect Starter is now $164 a month (was $165), with extra minutes at $3.29 (was $3.30). Found in a full re-check of every source page.
- Smith.ai AI Receptionist Enterprise at 500 calls ($800, $2.10 per extra call) added from its pricing page, in a full re-check of every source page.
- Added NextPhone Pro, Growth and Scale from its public pricing page. All three plans include unlimited calls with no per-minute charge or overage fee.
- PATLive added its 2,000 to 5,000-minute tiers.
- Specialty Answering Service: cancellation and setup-fee summaries corrected.
- Smith.ai AI Receptionist: billing terms added.
- ReceptionHQ ReceptionistPlus added as its own live row (messages and call transfers; read October 5, 2026): from $35 a month plus $2.99 a call to $2,440 for 1,000 calls, from its ReceptionistPlus page and the price table in ReceptionHQ's terms (read October 7, 2026), with its own billing terms ($0.30 a call after hours, $0.30 per transfer).
- Specialty Answering Service: 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 minutes ($2,929, $5,649 and $10,599, overage $1.19 to $1.09 a minute) added from its pricing page (read October 5, 2026), and hold time added to what its per-minute billing covers, from its rates page (read October 7, 2026).
- Go Answer: 1,700, 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 minutes ($1,870, $2,750, $5,500 and $11,000, overage $1.40 and $1.25 a minute) added from its pricing page (read October 5, 2026).
